2023 World Police & Fire Games

Over 8,500 athletes from around the globe will be welcomed to Winnipeg to compete in over 60 different sporting events in the summer of 2023.
As the largest sporting event ever hosted in the province of Manitoba, the World Police and Fire Games 2023 Winnipeg will be an exciting and rewarding community-wide sports and cultural event that will take place from July 28 – August 6, 2023.
Held biennially, the World Police and Fire Games are an Olympic-style competition with 8,500 athletes representing law enforcement, firefighters, and officers from corrections, probation, border protection, immigration and customs from 50+ countries across the world competing in 60+ sports. Founded and hosted several times in the United States, past host countries include, Australia, Canada, China, Northern Ireland, Spain, and Sweden.
A celebration of front line, first responders world–wide, the size and scope of the World Police & Fire Games continues to grow. Attendance has increased as have the number of nations involved. While attendance averages about 8,500, the 2011 WPFG in New York holds the current attendance record with over 16,000 athletes competing in 67 sports from almost 70 countries. More than 10,000 competitors competed in the Chengdu, China Games in 2019. With family and traveling companions, overall attendance topped 25,000.
