Lethbridge Sport Council Selection Committee seeks a qualified volunteer to fill the position of Games Chair for the Lethbridge 2020 Alberta Summer Games Society. The Selection Committee is looking for an energetic, knowledgeable volunteer with significant leadership and organizational skills who believes in the benefits and development of community sport.
The Lethbridge Sport Council Selection Committee will make a recommendation to the Mayor and City Council who will appoint the Games Chair. The Games Chair together with the Lethbridge Sport Council Selection Committee will select a 14-16 member board of directors.
The Alberta Summer Games leads the development of amateur grassroots sports on a provincial level for athletes ages 11-17. This 4-day, 14 sport competition will take place July 2020 throughout Lethbridge. The Games involve 3,500 athletes, coaches, and technical officials and 2,000 volunteers including 75 leadership volunteers.
