Recent Concussion Guidelines
Concussion is an ever-present topic in the sporting world and is an injury that must be taken seriously with the best management possible. In support of the recently past National Concussion Awareness Day (Rowan’s Law Day), we at the Sports Medicine Centre at the University of Lethbridge would like to provide a summary of the most recent concussion guidelines as directed by the Canadian Concussion Collaborative (CCC) (https://casem-acmse.org/resources/canadian-concussion-collaborative/). The mission of the CCC is to create synergy between health organizations concerned with concussions to improve education about concussions and the implementation of best practices for the prevention and management of concussions.
The Canadian Academy of Sport and Exercise Medicine (CASEM) is an organization of physicians committed to excellence in the practice of medicine as it applies to all aspects of physical activity.
