POSITION TITLE Roving Gyms Facilitator
WORK SCHEDULE Part-time 5 hours per week (Tuesday and Thursday mornings) for a 14-week term from mid-September to mid-December.
SCOPE OF WORK The Roving Gyms Facilitator is responsible to assist with the facilitation of the Lethbridge Roving Gyms program. This position is supported by the Venture for Canada hiring grant therefore you must be a returning student.

WHAT WILL YOU DO?

As a Roving Gyms Facilitator, you'll help bring joyful, active experiences to preschool aged children and their caregivers. You’ll co-lead play-based sessions that introduce fundamental movement skills in a fun, welcoming environment. You’ll be the friendly face that greets participants, sets up equipment, and creates a space where children feel safe to move, explore, and grow. It's all about spreading energy and enthusiasm while nurturing physical literacy and the love of movement.

We’re looking for someone who brings both heart and hustle to the gym floor. If you’re currently studying kinesiology, early childhood education, recreation—or if you’ve played, coached, or volunteered in sport—you’ll feel right at home. You’re the kind of person who lights up a room, isn’t afraid to get a little silly with kids, and believes in the lifelong benefits of physical activity. Bonus points if you're a student-athlete with a passion for helping others. You should be organized, curious, and confident working both on your own and as part of a team. Most importantly, you care about creating positive, inclusive experiences for every child who walks through the door

WAGE $19.50 per hour

The Safe Sport Program Coordinator supports ASLA's Safe Sport Program (SSP), primarily by coordinating the Alberta Safe Sport Complaint Mechanism (ABSSCM). As a full-time role, the position combines the coordination and compliance work below with two growth priorities: expanding The Game Plan, ASLA's safe sport education series, and ensuring the ABSSCM is well understood and used by PSOs/MSOs as intended, not just adopted on paper.

Responsibilities include working with the Executive Director to assist Provincial Sport Organizations/Multi-Sport Organizations (PSOs/MSOs) with implementation, education, and reporting; coordinating stakeholders; tracking compliance; preparing reports for the Executive Director; translating monthly and quarterly program data into concrete follow-up actions; and ensuring resources and training are delivered on time.

The ideal candidate brings strong coordination skills, a service mindset with PSOs, and practical knowledge of safe sport standards, reporting mechanisms, and trauma-informed practices.
