JOB DESCRIPTION

POSITION TITLE
Communications Assistant

WORK SCHEDULE
Full-time 35 hours per week, 8-week summer term. This position is contingent upon receiving the Canada Summer Jobs program funding.

SCOPE OF WORK
The Communications Assistant is responsible for assisting the Lethbridge Sport Council with marketing and promotions.

WHAT WILL YOU DO?

• Support marketing campaign planning and execution

• Write copy for social media posts, promotional emails, and other marketing collateral

• Assist in the creation of written, video, and image content for marketing channels

• Assist in website management

• Support the production of Sport Matters, an online publication

• Supporting Lethbridge Sport Council’s vision to provide sport experiences for all

• Maintain a high standard of excellence and commitment to service

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

• You are currently enrolled in post-secondary education in kinesiology, marketing, recreation, or a related field.

• Preference will be given to student-athletes.

• You should be active and outgoing, believing in the benefits of sport and physical activity.

• Experience in the sports sector as an athlete, volunteer, or staff member is preferred.

• You should have proven verbal communication skills.

• Excellent time management skills, with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

• You should be self-motivated and possess a curiosity to learn.

SALARY
$19.00 per hour
