CHANGES TO PROVINCIAL CIP FUNDING GRANTS, MAY 15, 2020

The Alberta government is reallocating money from the Community Initiatives Program (CIP) Project-based grant to the CIP Operating grant to help struggling small and medium-sized front-line charities and non-profits which focus on food security, shelter and housing, and addictions and mental health supports to maintain their core operations and provide services during the COVID-19 pandemic. "We understand many organizations spent time and effort preparing an application for the May 15 CIP Project-Based intake. In order to reallocate funding to CIP Operating during COVID-19. our regular intake schedule for CIP Project Based is paused for now. Your work on the May 15 CIP Project-Based application can be directed to a future intake once we have a better understanding of when the COVID-19 recovery phase will begin," said Minister Aheer on her Twitter account May 15, 2020.
