Lethbridge Sports Hall of Fame announces 2020 Inductees
Feb. 20, 2020 – The Lethbridge Sports Hall of Fame is celebrating its 35th anniversary by announcing six new inductees. One athlete, one team and four builders who have contributed significantly to the athletics history of Lethbridge and southern Alberta will join the ranks of more than 320 past inductees at the 2020 induction ceremony on May 1 at the Canadian Western Bank Lounge in the Enmax Centre.
“We continue to be overwhelmed by the quality of inductees each year,” says Dave McMurray, chair of the Lethbridge Sports Hall of Fame. “There is more than a century of sports history to celebrate in our city and we are proud of the work the Hall of Fame has done to recognize that history over our last 35 years. This year’s inductees have built legacies they should be proud of and we are proud to recognize their accomplishments.”
The theme of this year’s induction banquet in “multisport hosting” in celebration of Lethbridge hosting the 2020 Alberta Summer Games.
The 2020 Lethbridge Sports Hall of Fame induction class includes:

Jolene Watson (Schweitzer) – soccer
Team:
1983 Schwartz Angels – Canadian slo-pitch champions
Builders:
Eunice David – figure skating
Mary Dyck – soccer, volleyball and wheelchair basketball
Cliff Nelson – multi-sport
Howard Rasmussen – volleyball
