Call for Nominations - Lethbridge Sport Council Achievement Awards

Lethbridge Sport Council is excited to announce their Call for Nominations for the 16th Annual Lethbridge Sport Council Achievement Awards. These awards recognize and showcase excellence and spirit in sport including athletes, coaches, officials, volunteers, and sport leaders.

As we prepare to wrap up 2025, the stories of dedication, teamwork, and triumph within Lethbridge’s sport community shine brighter than ever. Our athletes have inspired us with their performances, and behind every success stand the coaches, officials, volunteers, administrators, and businesses who made it possible. Together, they’ve created a culture where sport unites people of all ages and backgrounds. We’re proud to honour those who have helped shape another incredible year of sport in Lethbridge.

Susan Eymann, executive director of the Lethbridge Sport Council, said, “The number and level of achievements, the inspiring contributions of our sport volunteers, and the dedication of community stakeholders who have supported sport over the past year have been truly remarkable. We encourage everyone involved in sport to take a moment to notice the people who make it all happen, and submit a nomination.”

There are 17 awards in 4 categories, including:

• Athlete Performance -Junior Male and Female, Senior Male and Female, Master, Athlete with a Disability, Special Olympics Athlete, Amateur Team
• Sport Excellence -Community Coach, High Performance Coach, Officiating, Volunteer in Sport, Dr. Gary Bowie Sport Event, Business & Sport Excellence
• Leadership -Shaun Ward Sport Champion, Sport Administrator, Sport Organization
• Spirit in Sport -Servus Credit Union Outstanding Sport Citizen, Knud Petersen Spirit in Sport Award

Any person who is affiliated with a Lethbridge sport organization, trains at a Lethbridge sport facility, or is a resident of Lethbridge is eligible to be nominated. The deadline for nominations is January 31, 2026. The Awards Ceremony will be held in April at the National Bank Lounge in the VisitLethbridge.com Arena.
