Celebration of Southern Alberta Basketball Media Release

Lethbridge, AB – A partnership between the VisitLethbridge.com Arena, Lethbridge Sport Council and author Ken Hamilton has resulted in a Southern Alberta Celebration of Basketball. This special event will honour the rich history of basketball in the region, featuring basketball exhibits and Hall of Fame displays.

Attendees will have the unique opportunity to meet local author, Ken Hamilton, a former basketball official who has spent the past year and a half gathering historical information and photos for his series, Southern Alberta Basketball – A History in Pictures. The first nine books in his series will be available to purchase.

The celebration will also highlight the achievements of Team Canada members and the upcoming Western Slam NCAA Division 1 Men’s Basketball games coming to the Visitlethbridge.com Arena November 28 – 30.

For those featured, it will be a fun trip down memory lane, revisiting the moments that shaped our basketball community," said Susan Eymann of the Lethbridge Sport Council.

This event is free to attend and open to the public. Guests can enter through the North East doors of the VisitLethbridge.com Arena, and parking is free.
