Athlete Enhancement Program January 2022
ATHLETE ENHANCEMENT PROGRAM - Brought to you by the Lethbridge Sport Council
We are ready to move forward now that the end of the pandemic is in sight. Are you with us?
One thing that has remained constant despite the disruptions of the past 2 years, is the value of sport. Sport always has been, and always will be an important part of shaping our youth and our community.
Sport can influence us in many ways, including:
- Learning healthy habits
- Offering activity and fitness
- Providing role models and shaping new ones
- Building character
- Providing education and employment opportunities
- Improved mental health, and more
We are excited to open registration for the Winter AEP (Athlete Enhancement Program) to help local athletes get back to sport and to reach their goals and potential. AEP is an athlete support program providing high-quality training to athletes from all sports. Training is delivered by the University of Lethbridge Strength and Conditioning Coaches at the U of L High-Performance Centre (HP Centre).
The HP Centre, the exclusive training facility for Pronghorn Athletics, is considered one of the top facilities in Southern Alberta for delivering strength and conditioning services.

- AEP Winter 2022 (Tuesdays and Thursdays)
- AEP S.A.Q. Speed, Agility, Quickness (Mondays and Wednesdays)
- AEP Combo (M-Th, S.A.Q + Winter 2022)
- 3 sport science sessions
- 1 Sport Psychology
- 1 Sports Nutrition
- 1 Injury Prevention
This program was fundamental to my development as an athlete. I learned extremely valuable skills including how to properly lift weights, stretch, and do exercises for injury prevention. I have been able to participate in post-secondary sports and I owe much of my athletic ability to the basics that I learned in the Athlete Enhancement Program. This program played a huge role in solidifying my love of sports and gave me lifelong skills that I still use today and will continue to use into adulthood.

The AEP program is available to athletes from all sports, born between 2003-2009.
This is an incredible opportunity for your athlete to make up for lost time. Register to be part of AEP, and let’s get back to sport, together.
