Operation Red Nose is a unique service dedicated to fighting impaired driving. Operated during the Christmas holiday season, the program provides drivers with a safe ride home or between locations at no set charge, but rather by donation.
Initiated by a Laval University swimming coach in 1983, the program has been replicated in communities all over the country. In addition to serving as a national road safety initiative, ORN provides financial support to local non-profit community youth organizations.
The Pronghorn Booster Club adopted the program in the Lethbridge community. Each year approximately 350 volunteers support the program, sixty percent of whom are athletes, coaches, family and friends of our Pronghorn athletes. Local businesses and organizations can partner with Operation Red Nose by donating to the service and in exchange receive priority pick-up status for their employees and guests on the night of their Christmas party.
Please head to www.gohorns.ca to view available sponsorship packages.
During the nights that Operation Red Nose is in service, please call 403-320-4155 to book the service. To volunteer, please head to www.gohorns.ca & fill out the 2018 Volunteer From and then submit to the Pronghorn Athletics office, email: [email protected], or fax (403) 329-2709.
